Dead Air Front Cover

Dead Air is Mike’s first published work. It came along after a little hiccup with an unpublished series called Jaguar Stories. (More info about that down the track sometime.) Mike originally intended Dead Air to be released as 4 issues, however it saw the light of day as a TPB (Trade Paper Back) collection. The chapter titles are as follows, One: Shapes of Things; Two: Anyway, Anyhow, Anywhere; Three: Over the Hills and Far Away; Four: A Sort of Homecoming.

The last few pages of the book also feature a preview of Mike’s next release, ‘Graphique Musique’.

I was so excited when I finally tracked it down on ebay a handful of years ago. Every now and then you will see a copy. (Note the old version of Mike’s signature on the bottom right of the cover.)

Whooaaah indeed! Above are two panels from Dead Air.
Alfred Hitchcock shows up on page 92, while the huge eyeball is from page 94.

The back cover is below.
